On finding things...

So I am known to be a clutz and to lose EVERYTHING, even if its attached to me...but really I only misplace things because I always find them, even if it is a year later!
I bought a kindle right when they first came out, I am a BIG BIG reader, and used it for about a year. I just didn't like it as much as reading a book, but I tried to be loyal to it, since it cost $500! I have to admit that I did likle many aspects of it, I mean I could have a bunch of books with me at all times even if I only read one at a time. hehehe. Any way the best part about the kindle was that some of my classes requiered readings of many books and I could have them with me at all times, without the bulk of 10 books in my bag! The point that I am getting at is that I did in fact use it, but mostly for school. So last semester I started using it again(and by last semester I mean fall 2010, it is currently after spring 2011) and the one day it was gone! I looked and looked and looked for it for ages and then after about four months I deciede I might have actually lost it this time, rather than just misplacing it...somewhere during this time I also lost my ipod! I though I might have left it at work, but still I looked for it. I knew it might be in my mess of a house somewhere, but I even cleaned it to find my ipod! No such luck, though. After looking for it about three months, I faced the sad reality that I had actually lost it =(
Well from both these items, the one I felt the most was my ipod...it seriously messed with my life! For the last four months I was listening to CDs again! I was also listening to my music through my mini laptop...I love my reliable laptop...I cleaned even less, without the inspiration of loud music. I was sad. Worst yet I wasn't allowed to buy another because..well, I lose everything! LOL But the worst thing of all is that I didn't have a lot of the music backed up, mostly because it had come from a PC that crashed...so I dreaded having to look for my music again. That was probably the main reason I did not lose hope in finding my poor ipod, and I had family pics in it.
So one day I was looking for a dress to wear to a party, when I remebered my kindle and I said to my husband I can't believe I lost my knidle :( I really liked it. My husband just chuckled(he thinks it funny that I am such an air head)
I told him "Its not FUNNY" and probably tossed a dirty sock at him, hehehe.
He replied, "what is a kindle anyway?"
WHAT! WoW, all this time I though he was helping me look for it, and he didn't even know what it was...thats just sad.
"You know, the little thinggy to read books, the electronic one?" I said.
"oooh" he said "it's in you black bag thats hanging in the chair by your closet"
O.o !!!???! OMG
The Ipod, on the other hand was actually lost, or misplaced. I actually fund it two days ago! I was washing my daughter's clothes(shes seven)  because all of it was dirty and I do mean ALL of it! which in this case was a good thing because guess where I found the ipod? And yes I did find it!
It was at the bottom of one of the drawers of shirts in my daughter's room! All I have to say is "Thank God I didn't wash her clothes for a month and a half"  :)
Live is almost back to normal...

Vintage Headband How-to Video

Hey Guys,
So you might have been able to tell already, but I am not good at editing or spelling and so it shows in most things I do! Well here is another example of being an embarrassment to my self!
In this video I try to demonstrate how to put together a nice vintage type headband...but I really demontrate how bad I am with typos and spelling! Anyway, hope you enjoy (=

Also check out this link for other headbands I have made :)

On Making a youtuve Tutorial... Basic bow headband!

I made a basic bow headband tutorial today, it was a lot harder than I remember! My camera was acting up, Plus it was super hard to get a good view from behind the camera to see what I was actually doing!!! Last time I made a tutorial, I angled the camera differently, so next time I'll Keep that in mind....

For this bow headband I used recyled ribbon from an old shopping bag. This is a good idea, since it might otherwise go in the trash. I try to do this as often as possible, in all my crafts. It also saves me money. Well I will let you watch the video now...just don't judge too harshly :)
Apperantly there was a mistake when uploading the video so heres the link instead:

Why buy...when you can swap???

I mentioned before that the reason I joined blogger and decided to give blogging a try was because I wanted to join an online swap....well I still have to get to that, but the reason I wanted to give online swapping a try was because I've had  swapping parties(at home) with friends and family and they were truly successful.
I decided to write about this, since I think Its a GREAT thing to do. Not only is it fun, but you get to get rid of stuff you don't need and possibly get stuff you've really been wanting!
The rules for our swap were the following:
1. 10 ppl max
2. Everyone brings the same amount of items( we had 10 each)
3. You are given one peg(with your number or name on it) and you put it on items you want.
4. If more than one person wants the same item, then you put their names into the hat and see who wins it.
5. once you go through the first time, then you go again until all the items are gone!

We made ours a potluck so we had an incredible time swapping, eating and drinking ;D
** Also, if you make things, like I do, this serves a good purpose to basically barder you stuff in exchange for things you like. For instance, the things that I didn't sell I might take to a party to swap.
Another good idea is to do a craft swap...I haven't done this since I don't know many crafters in my area :(

Here is something I plan to take to my next swap!

Its a baby headband...SUPER cute :)

IT HAPPENED!!! IT FINALLY HAPPENED!!!!

Woooohoooooo!!!!
I am super excited. After wanting a scooter badly for the past, like four, years I finally got one. It was a present from my husband, Victor. This is for my upcoming graduation from college...hummm which leaves me thinking that I better pass all my classes. Well my present was a brand new Yamaha Vino (classic) scooter in a white/cream/brown color.
I was a bit nervous to actually get on it(made my husband put his neck on the line first) but I did ok. My scooter is only a 50cc so it goes 40mph max, but I had never been in a two wheeler(besides a bicycle) before, so boy did it feel fast! I can't wait to accessorize it...any ideas??
Yesterday(Easter) my whole family came over to my house to hide eggs and sorts, but I think we had the most fun trying out the scooter. My brother is a natural! By the end of the day he was serving as taxi rides for the kids...don't worry it was in a non traffic area and everyone was wearing their helmets. It was really fun to see everyone testing it out, but boy was I worried that one of them might fall over...worried for the of course:)
I am posting a pic of my scooter here, only my husband is the one on it because to be completely honest I take pictures horribly...as in I am not photogenic >.<

HEHEHE I LOVE MY HUSBAND

Well I hope that I won't be disappointed in the near future(or at all, actually)....wish me luck!

Introduction...Hi!

Hey guys!
Well here it goes!!! I finally decided to seriously persue this blogging thing. I am actually really doing this because I wanted to join a craft swap, and a blog is a requierment...hummm, well since I am actually going to blog I figured it'd be about the things I love. I love my family, and I love to make things! (oh and you might get some unwanted history)
Things to be warned about me:
I suck at spelling.
I sometimes write with great inspiration...and then I write a bit more like I talk, but don't get confused IT'S STILL ME!
I work with kids...so most of the time I end up sounding like them!
I have FB and Youtube accounts.
I have a neat freak husband(but he is getting tired of trying therefore slowly giving up) :)
I have a 7 year old girl..Felicity
hummm idk what to really write about, strange cause normally I ramble on and on and on.
Oh! I am 23 years old, in college(hisory), work, and I'm a full time wife and mom.
Yes go ahead do the math...I had her when I was 16. Yes my husband and I have been together for a looong time!
OK then  good meeting you and Good bye for now!
